On September 12, all children from Kolol Primary school classes 1-4 (65 kids in total) went on a tour. During the course of this year, we got the idea to do something special for the children. It's great to have new classrooms, books, etcetera, but it's still school. It's good for the future of the children, but it's all serious stuff. Besides that, we realized that almost non of the children had ever been outside Kolol. The families just don't have the money to pay for a trip. So we thought it would be fun to take the children on a tour. Besides that, if you see and do things that you have never seen and done before, you will definitely learn from it. The plan was made to take the children on a tour to Eldoret, where they would visit Poa place. This is a place which has a section for learning about nature and culture, and a section that is basically a large playground - with playing tools the children had never seen in their life. Through a special function (a wedding where the bride and bridegroom decided to ask their guests to give money for this project), we raised the money. On Friday morning the buses picked up the children and drove them to Eldoret, about 60km away. Seeing such a big town was an experience in itself. They stayed the whole day in Poa Place and had the day of their life.

The kids from Kolol primary on tour
