Mindililwo Special School

In 2023 Kibet4Kids built a water supply system for the Special School. In 2018 – 2019 we had built a dormitory, plus a sanitary block. In special schools it’s common that all pupils live and sleep at the school for a big part of the year. First of all because some of the children come from far. And secondly, because this ensures the safety of children with special needs, since some of them are at risk of abuse in their own community. The Kibet4Kids dormitory made it possible for 40 more special needs pupils to be admitted at the school – children who would otherwise be at home without special care.

Our sanitary block initially received water from the school tank, but in 2023 we were told that this system no longer worked well, so we spent around 3500 euro to build a new water supply system for the toilets and showers.

Apart from that, we have decided to support Aida Celestine. Aida is a girl with special needs, who comes from the community of Kamokos and whose parents are extremely poor. Without support, she would not be able to go to school at all. Kibet4Kids pays her yearly school fees (around 200 euro).
